Understanding the Start Stitch Function on the SWF Embroidery Control Panel

In this video, we explain how the start stitch function on the SWF embroidery control panel lets us sew a design from a stitch other than the very first stitch, which is labeled as stitch zero.

We typically use this feature when proofing a design. If a sample has already sewn successfully through the first several thousand stitches but repeatedly develops a problem later in the file, we can make adjustments in the software and then return to that problem area without resewing the entire design from the beginning.

To use the function, we move the cursor with the up and down button until it is next to Start ST, then press the Set button. We then enter the stitch number where we want sewing to begin by using the numeric keypad.

After entering the desired stitch number, we press Set again to confirm it. The machine will then begin sewing from that selected stitch instead of starting at the beginning of the design.
