In this video, we explain how to read the LED information screen on an embroidery machine. The design information display shows the design location number, which in this example is number 3. In parentheses, it also shows the design name, listed here as LFT-CST, along with the total stitch count for the design, which is 8,869 stitches.
We then look at the stitch information area. This section shows how many stitches the machine has sewn, the total number of stitches in the design, and the percentage of the design that is complete. In this example, the machine is 4% finished with the design.
The work information area shows the machine speed and production counters. The number in parentheses on the left indicates the current sewing speed in stitches per minute, which is 410 in this example. The count on the right shows how many stitches the machine has sewn since that counter was last reset. It also shows how many full designs have been sewn from beginning to end since reset. Because the counter was just reset, that total is currently zero and will increase each time a design finishes.
Finally, the needle information button shows the needle sequence. The number to the left of the bracket is the needle position the machine has just come from, the number in brackets is the needle currently sewing, and the number to the right is the next needle position the machine will move to. This section also shows the total number of colors in the design, which is seven in this example.
If you’re still getting familiar with SWF screen readouts and machine status, the SWF repair, maintenance, and operation DVD set is a practical next step.
