How to Use Embroidery Machine Speed Functions

In this video, we explain the next five machine functions that control speed and show that they are all changed the same way. We move the cursor next to the function we want to change, press the set button, enter a value within the allowed range for that function, and then press the set button again to save the setting.

We first look at maximum speed, which determines the fastest speed the machine will run. As an example, if we do not want the machine to sew above 850 stitches per minute, we move the cursor to maximum speed, press set, enter 850 on the numeric keypad, and press set again to lock it in. In this example, the available range for maximum speed is 300 to 1200 stitches per minute.

We then review the other speed-related settings. Minimum speed controls the lowest speed at which the machine will sew, jump speed controls the speed used for a jump stitch, and INC speed controls the inching or incremental speed. We note that inching speed is the slow speed the machine uses when it first starts sewing before reaching normal operating speed, and it is also the speed used when we press and hold the start button without releasing it.

We also identify slow speed as the speed the machine uses when it is in slow speed mode. We find that setting under the edit button, and we cover that function in greater detail in another section of the video.
