How to Use the Backtack Function on an Embroidery Machine

In this video, we explain how the backtack function controls whether a lock stitch is placed at the beginning of a design, at the end, or at both the beginning and end.

To change the backtack function, we move the cursor with the up-down button next to the backtack setting, then press the set button to select it.

We then choose the desired option based on where the lock stitch is needed. We enter number 1 for the start point, number 2 for the end point, or number 3 for all, which applies the lock stitch at both the beginning and the end of the design.

After selecting the correct value, we press the set button again to lock in the setting.

If you're dialing in cleaner starts and finishes, pairing that with quality thread from GPI's Madeira thread collection can help.
