How to Set the Stop Inching Button on the SWF Control Panel

In this video, we explain how the stop inching function on the SWF control panel controls how many stitches the machine puts down slowly before it begins running at normal operating speed.

We use this setting to give the machine enough time to pull the initial stitches tight and to go down and pick up the bobbin thread. Because of that, we want to allow the maximum amount of slow stitches so the machine can complete those tasks properly at the start of the design.

Using the up-down control, we bring the cursor next to the stop inching setting and then press the set button. The available value range is from zero to five. In this case, we want the setting at five, which is where we typically set stop inching.

To enter that value, we press five on the numeric keypad and then press the set button again to lock in the setting. This gives the machine the maximum number of slow starting stitches before it transitions to normal operating speed.

If you're dialing in SWF setup details like stop inching, the SWF repair, maintenance, and operation DVD set may be a useful next step.
