How to Set the Trim Start Function on an SWF Embroidery Machine

In this video, we explain how the trim start function controls whether the machine begins sewing automatically after it completes a trim. This setting is useful when they need the machine to stop after trimming instead of restarting on its own, such as when the trimming mechanism is not working properly and they still need to finish a job.

To change the setting, we move the cursor with the up-down control next to the trim start option and then press the set button. The control panel then prompts for a yes or no selection, asking whether the machine should start sewing after it trims.

We typically set this option to yes unless there is a problem such as a broken trimmer. In this example, we enter a value of 1 for yes and then press the set button again to save the setting.
