In this video, we demonstrate how to use the external input function to bring a design directly from a computer into the embroidery machine. We use this method instead of the EMB call function or the FDD call function when transferring data from the computer.
Using the up and down controls, we move the cursor next to External Input and press the set button. We then use the up and down buttons again to move the cursor next to Serial and press the set button. When the machine prompts us to press set to start reading the data, we press the set button and the design begins transferring to the embroidery machine.
After the transfer, the machine displays an empty room, which is a memory location. The machine automatically defaults to the earliest room available, and we accept that value by pressing the set button. The machine then converts the file and returns to the screen. We press Previous, then Previous again, and the design is ready to be embroidered.
After sending the design to your machine, make sure you have the stitch-out basics on hand with embroidery supplies.
