Toyota ESP 9100: Loading a Design From a USB Thumb Drive

In this video, we show how to load a design on the Toyota ESP 9100 using a USB thumb drive. To begin, we remove the side panel with a small flathead screwdriver. Once the panel is off, we insert the thumb drive into the USB slot.

After the USB thumb drive is connected, we load a job from the end of a job by pressing the Start Point Data buttons. This takes us to the input data screen, which may display either PC or USB. Using the left or right arrow key, we select USB, then press the Set key. The machine then accesses the thumb drive and displays the designs stored on it.

We use the up and down arrow keys to find the desired design, then press Set to select it. The data light blinks while the design is loading. When loading is complete, the light stays solid and the machine beeps once.

Once the design is loaded, we enter the needle colors. Needle positions 1 through 9 are entered normally. For positions 10 through 15, we press 10 plus the number needed. For example, 10 plus 0 is 10, 10 plus 1 is 11, and so on through 15. These positions appear on the display as A through F. After entering all needle changes, we press Set and the machine is ready to sew.

If you regularly load designs and assign needle colors, it helps to have dependable embroidery thread.
