How to Set Up and Use Expert Stitch Manager for Embroidery Design Transfer

In this video, we introduce Expert Stitch Manager, a tool used to transfer embroidery designs and color change information directly to one or up to six embroidery machines at once. We can also save designs with the correct color change information so they can be used again later without reassigning colors. Its click-and-drag layout and real-time stitch viewer make machine networking, design loading, and progress monitoring quick and simple.

To get started, we first remove the communication driver from the startup setting. We close the communication driver window, go to Start, All Programs, and Startup, then right-click Communication Driver and select Delete. We then install the software by following the installation instructions included with the program.

After installation, we open Forte and click on Expert Stitch Manager. From the Settings menu, we select Port, choose 38400, and click Scan Ports. Once the correct port is identified, we select it and click OK. In the layout window, we click and drag the image into the white box, then click the arrow to send the design to the machine.

At the embroidery machine, we double-check the needle numbers to confirm that the correct colors were selected. If a color needs to be changed, we press the Color key, use the arrow keys to locate the corresponding needle number, and press Set when finished. Before embroidering, we trace the design with the active needle.

Once Expert Stitch Manager has your design transferred, finish the process with colors that sew out well using Madeira embroidery thread.
