In this video, we show how to set up the machine so it can read from Expert Stitch Manager. We first make sure the machine is turned off, then remove the switch cover on the right side of the control panel to access the dip switches.
We locate the two banks of dip switches, DSW1 and DSW2. In the DSW2 bank, we flip switch number 8 to the right into the on position. We then turn on the embroidery machine and press set.
On the LCD screen, we confirm that straight lines appear instead of asterisks on either side of EMB start. We press the function key, arrow down to B-COM speed, and use the right arrows to select 38400. We press set, and the machine is then ready to receive a design through Expert Stitch Manager.
With the machine set up correctly for transfer, the next practical step is having dependable pre-wound bobbins ready for production.
