Toyota ESP 9100 LED Control Panel Part 3: Edit, Color, and Data Menus

In this video, we continue our Toyota ESP 9100 LED control panel series with a walkthrough of the Edit menu. From this menu, we can adjust the horizontal and vertical size of a design directly from the machine rather than from the software. Using the left and right arrow keys, we can make the design larger or smaller, and when the horizontal size is changed, the vertical size adjusts proportionately as well. When using this feature on the machine, we should only increase or decrease the design safely by about 10 to 15 percent from its original size.

We also review the rotate, mirror, and repeat settings. In the rotate menu, we can turn a design using the left and right arrow keys in 45-degree increments, from 45 degrees up to 315 degrees, then press Set to confirm the change. In the mirror menu, we can mirror the design horizontally or vertically and press Set to save the adjustment. In the repeat settings, we can take one design transferred to the machine and have it sew multiple times horizontally or vertically within the hoop. We can choose the number of repeats in each direction and then enter the spacing between each design in millimeters. As a reference, a quarter of an inch is approximately 6 mm.

Next, we move to the Color menu, where we can change the order in which the machine sews colors. If we need to adjust the color sequence, we press the Color key, arrow over to the needle we want to change, enter the new change, and press Set to confirm. This allows us to reorder colors already assigned in the design when needed.

Finally, we cover the Data menu. Here, we can input data either from a PC or by USB. The Select Data option lets us recall any design previously sent to the machine, as long as it remains in memory. If the design was named before being sent, that name will appear along with the stitch count and the amount of memory still available. After selecting the design with the arrow keys, we press Set to load the previously used data. In Delete Data, we can scroll through stored designs, press Clear, and confirm whether we want to delete a job. The final option is Memory Mode, where we can switch from Multi to Single. In Multi mode, the machine uses all available stitch memory to store designs. In Single mode, sending a new design to the machine will automatically erase the one that was transferred before it.

As you work through the color and data menus on the ESP 9100, it helps to have matching sewout materials on hand like Madeira embroidery thread.
