In this video, we show how to attach and use the optional clamping device, which can make hooping non-traditional items much easier. Before installing the clamp, we make sure the machine is turned off and that the pantograph is moved flush to the left.
We then slide the clamping device onto the machine, aligning it with the holes on the pantograph that match the clamp. Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, we tighten the Allen screws on both sides. As we tighten the clamp, we push it forward to make sure it sits level against the pantograph.
Once the clamp is secured, we pull the pantograph toward us so we can hoop the item. We flip open the hoop, slide the item into place, and position the area to be embroidered within the sewable area. Depending on the item, we may also choose to use double-sided sticky backing.
After the item is secured in the clamping device, we slowly move the pantograph back into sewing position, center the design, and begin sewing.
