How to Use the Data Key to Load, Save, and Delete Embroidery Designs

In this video, we show how to use the Data Key to input design data from either a computer or a floppy disk reader. After pressing the Data Key, we use the arrow key to switch between sources, with 335 indicating the disk reader and PC indicating the computer. To download a design from the computer, we highlight option 1, press the Set key, and confirm that input through PC is displayed.

We then load the design by entering the job number assigned by the computer, making sure the computer is in communication mode first. After entering the job number and pressing Set, the flashing green light shows that the design is loading into the machine. At that time, we select the color choice and color order, assign the needle number for each color, and press Set. The LCD screen then indicates that the machine has returned to the embroidery start position.

From the Data Key menu, we can also choose design data that has already been saved in the machine by highlighting option 2, pressing Set, selecting the design with the arrow key, and pressing Set again to confirm. To remove an individual design from memory, we highlight option 3, press Set, select the design, and press the Clear key. We then press Set to confirm deletion or Escape to cancel and restore the design.

We can also choose how designs are stored in memory by highlighting option 4 and selecting either multi for up to 99 designs or single for one design, then pressing Set and Save before returning with Escape. To initialize the memory and delete all stored data at once, we highlight option 5, press Set, and then press Set again when the LCD asks for confirmation. The machine then deletes all stored data and returns to the data set menu.

After loading the right design from your data key, make sure you're ready to sew it cleanly with reliable pre-wound bobbins.
