In this video, we show how to install the cylindrical frame and prepare it for embroidery. We begin by loosening the screws and removing the needle plate. We then place the cylindrical frame so the drive ring lines up on the bed, and adjust the drive ring by setting the attaching screw of the cylindrical frame brace to the matching part in the X-driving unit. As with the cap frame, we make sure the screws are securely tightened before attaching the needle plate set for the cylindrical frame.
We then select a cylindrical frame that is appropriate for the material being embroidered. To hoop the material, we attach the cylindrical frame to the setting frame and open lid frames A and B. We place them on the base frame while inserting the backing, then secure the base frame to lid frame B with the backing in place.
Next, we smooth the area to be embroidered and place the material on the base frame through lid frame B and the backing. We position the material correctly, then close and lock lid frame A. Once the material is hooped and the frame is prepared, we attach the cylindrical frame to the drive base. For information on presser foot adjustment, we refer to the instruction manual.
Because this process depends on proper support behind the fabric, take a look at embroidery stabilizer.
