How to Test Sew a Cap on a Toyota Embroidery Machine

In this video, we prepare the Toyota machine for a cap test sew. We turn the machine on and confirm the control panel display reads Hoop Cap. We then press the Set button to initialize the machine and wait for the process to finish until the LCD changes to the EMB Start screen.

We next remove the embroidered cap that is attached when the machine is received. We press the two clamps on either side of the cap to release the cap frame, rotate the bill 90 degrees to clear the needle bar, and slide the cap off.

We then place the blank cap attached to the cap frame onto the machine. After that, we move the speed bar to the midpoint area, press the Start Point button to set the machine to the starting position, and press the Start button. The display then shows that embroidery is in progress along with the name of the design being sewn.

Before a cap test sew, having the right cap setup gear in place can help, so browse hoops and hoopers.
