In this video, we show how to install the cap frame unit and check its alignment. We position the unit so the drive ring fits snugly on the bed, then set the attaching screw of the cap frame base to the matching part in the X driving unit and insert the attaching screw of the slide angle into the matching part on the joint plate. We then make sure all screws are tightly secured and check that there are no gaps between the attached pieces.
We also confirm that the projection of the needle plate is centered in the needle plate guide and that the silicone tape under the needle plate guide is lightly contacting the needle plate. If the needle plate is not positioned properly, we loosen the four screws and adjust it as needed.
To install the cap frame guide, we loosen the two screws that secure the hook guide, insert the cap frame guide between the hook guide and the attaching screws, and then retighten the screws. When using the wide cap frame, we loosen the clip stopper to adjust its position, which can be helpful for fit. We can also adjust for material thickness by removing the hexagon nuts and pinch lock from the lid frame, then reinstalling the pinch lock so the lid frame holds the cap securely.
