In this video, we show how to properly change a bobbin on a Toyota ESP 9100. We begin by opening the front door so we can access the bobbin case. The bobbin case has a small arm that we use to open it and pull it out of the machine.
Next, we place the new bobbin into the bobbin case, making sure the bobbin turns clockwise when we pull the thread. If it turns counterclockwise, the bobbin has been installed incorrectly and needs to be repositioned.
We then pull the thread through the slit on the side of the bobbin case and guide it underneath the thread tensioner. After that, we wrap the thread around the pigtail twice, working from the bottom up.
Finally, we put the bobbin case back into the machine. It will only fit one way, and we know it is seated correctly when we hear it click into place.
If you're changing or reloading the bobbin on your ESP 9100, this is the most relevant place to start: pre-wound bobbins.
