How to Install and Use an Embroidery Machine Border Frame

In this video, we show how to install and use a border frame on the machine. The border frame is primarily used for making patches, but it can also be used for many different applications.

With the tabletop connected to the machine, we locate the border frame and the holding clips. We then lay the border frame on the tabletop and slide it toward the pantograph. The border frame fastens to the outermost holes on the pantograph, and we tighten both sides with an Allen key.

Once the border frame is secured to the pantograph, we make sure all eight holding clips are ready. We then drape the material over the pantograph and fasten it with the clips, smoothing the fabric as we go so there are no wrinkles.

If you're setting up a border frame for long items or patches, browse hoops and hoopers for related framing options.
