In this video, we show how to assemble the thread stand when the machine first arrives. The thread stand is securely wrapped in plastic, so we begin by cutting away the plastic wrap around the stand, taking care not to cut any threads. We then remove the cardboard packaging from the top of the thread rack.
Next, we loosen the screws on the two poles, extend both poles up to the engraved top line, and tighten the screws to hold them in place. Once the stand is set, we make sure the threads are traveling straight up to their respective guides.
We then inspect each thread cone for any loose coils that may be caught under the cone. From the needle area, we pull each thread down to confirm it is following the proper thread path, and then pull the thread tail into the thread holding spring directly above the needles. During this setup process, we do not make any adjustments to the thread tensions.
