How to Use Optional Hoops on the Toyota ESP 9100

In this video, we demonstrate how to use several optional hoops for the Toyota ESP 9100. To use the optional 7-in-1 hoop, we start with a piece of peel-and-stick backing and remove the release paper so the sticky side remains. We place the backing underneath one of the frame windows with the sticky side facing up, making sure it is attached evenly and lies flat on the back side. Any excess backing can be pulled away or wrapped around the top of the frame. Once the backing is in place, we position the fabric evenly and secure it to the adhesive surface.

Because this hoop does not work like a conventional hoop, we finish by running a finger along the inner edge of the hoop to create an indent that marks the edge of the frame. This helps identify the sewing boundary so the presser foot or needle does not strike the metal. The hoop can then be placed on the machine just like a conventional tubular hoop, and it is ready for embroidery.

We also show the optional belt and dog collar holder. To use it, we loosen the tensioners and slide the belt through the holder, working between either the top two or bottom two screws to help keep it straight. We pull it across, lift it, and slide it through again on the opposite side, making sure the belt stays even and aligned. Once positioned, we tighten the clamps securely to prevent slipping during sewing. This hoop also mounts to the machine like a conventional tubular hoop.

Finally, we cover the Carpet Master, which is used for carpets, floor mats, and upholstery. We place the material over the desired area and secure it with the spikes, taking care to note their location while hooping. No backing is required for these materials. Unlike the other hoops, the Carpet Master requires the tubular arms to be removed from the machine before the hoop is installed in the designated notches and secured with a 2 mm Allen wrench. We also note that a standard needle should not be used for these materials; a sharp titanium 90/14 needle is required.
