In this video, we introduce the next group of tools in Forte Digitizing Software: the stitch type tools. We explain that these tools must be used in conjunction with the line type tools when creating embroidery elements.
We begin with the running stitch, which places a single line of stitches and is commonly used for underlay, fine details, and outlines. We then review the satin stitch, which consists of parallel stitches that form a column.
Next, we cover complex fill, which uses rows of running stitches to fill a large area. We also introduce the steil stitch, an automatic width-control satin stitch with built-in underlay that is used primarily for appliqué and borders.
Whether you're sewing runs, satins, or fills, the right embroidery needles help each stitch type perform better.
