In this video, we create a left chest logo for a women’s golf classic using Forte Digitizing. We begin by opening the stock design file and placing it in the work area. For easier viewing, we change the work area background to gray through the System menu, then enable Display Line Types under Cursors so the selected tool type appears in the cursor. We then zoom in on the design to prepare it for editing.
Next, we update the thread colors in the stock design by shift-clicking each color in the color sequence bar and selecting a new color from the Isacord thread chart. The first color is changed to 5934, the second to 0152, the third to 0010, the fourth to 4515, and the fifth to 2300. Once the color changes are complete, we zoom out to create more space around the design.
With the full design selected, we use the Wreath feature to repeat it in a circular pattern. In the wreath options window, we set the number of repeats to five, then position the outlines so they overlap slightly before placing the repeated design. To add text, we click the Lettering icon and open the text window in the center of the work area. Because the previous setting was for a monogram, we clear that option before entering the new text.
Finally, we type “Women’s” and choose the Spree font. The character size is set to .197, Follow Baseline remains checked, kerning stays enabled, and character spacing remains at 0.079. The character width is set to 100 percent. Under the Stitch tab, we leave the existing settings unchanged and do not enable underlay, since this is a running stitch and does not use underlay. The sewing direction remains set to left to right, and we click OK to apply the lettering.
For polished logo stitching and clean color changes, choose vibrant Madeira thread.
