Toyota ESP 9100 LED Control Panel Settings Part 1

In this video, we begin Part 1 of the Toyota ESP 9100 LED control panel series by reviewing the Function menu. We access the menu with the Function key, then use the arrow keys to move through each setting. The first option changes the screen display between RPM and total stitch count. We adjust this with the left or right arrow keys and press Set to confirm. RPM shows the stitching speed, while T shows the total number of stitches in the design. Even when RPM is selected, the stitch total will still display whenever the machine is stopped. RPM is the default and preferred setting.

The second setting is the thread sensor. The default setting is 2, and there are five sensitivity levels available. Setting 1 is the most sensitive, and setting 5 is the least sensitive. We recommend using 2 or 3 to help reduce false thread break messages. The third option is the bobbin counter. After selecting it, we press Set and use the numeric keypad to enter a preset value. A good starting number is 30,000 stitches. Once confirmed, the machine will display a lower thread run-out reminder when that stitch count is reached, prompting us to check whether enough bobbin thread remains and replace it if needed.

Next, we move to the lock stitch function, which applies a lock stitch at the beginning and end of stitching after a trim. The default setting is on for both start and end, and that is the recommended setup. We can turn either one off with the arrow keys if needed. The satin adjustment is the fifth option. This setting increases satin stitch width by up to 0.5 mm. Levels 1 through 5 add 0.1 mm through 0.5 mm respectively, while Off leaves the satin width unchanged. The default is Off.

The next setting is slow start. The default is 2, but we recommend changing it to 4 or 5 and pressing Set to confirm. This controls how many main shaft rotations run at a slower speed after a trim, which helps prevent looping at the start of stitching and helps keep the thread from pulling out. Option 7 is Trim Jump, which is normally set to 3 and works with the software to insert a trim after a certain number of consecutive jumps or when a jump stitch tail becomes too long. This setting generally does not need adjustment. Option 8 is Jump Link, which sets the stitch length at which longer stitches are automatically converted into jump stitches.
