In this video, we explain how to fix a sewing motor lock error on the Toyota ESP 9100. This error can happen if the pantograph arm is blocked during embroidery or if the machine hits a hoop. When this occurs, the machine may display a check X motor or check Y motor error.
To clear the error, we first press Stop to acknowledge the message. Then we turn the machine off and back on again. Before restarting, we make sure the pantograph can move freely and that nothing is still obstructing it.
After the machine powers back on and the hoop screen is acknowledged, it will check itself to confirm whether sewing was completed. If the design was not finished, the machine will return to the location of the last stitch. We then press the Set key and Start to resume from where we left off and clear the sewing motor lock condition.
When you're clearing sewing motor lock issues, it helps to have everyday embroidery supplies within reach.
