How to Install the Light on the SWF 1501 Embroidery Machine

In this video, we show how to assemble and install the light on the SWF 1501 embroidery machine. For this process, we use a large Phillips head screwdriver and a 4 mm Allen wrench, both supplied in the blue tool kit. After unboxing the machine and locating the hardware, we first place the adapter on the plug to convert it from a European plug to a domestic plug.

We then assemble the light by attaching the back bracket, which also serves as the rear cover. It is important that the recessed holes face outward so they can receive the tapered Phillips head screws correctly. Once the bracket is positioned properly, we insert and tighten the screws to complete the light assembly.

Next, we attach the light to the side of the machine using the pre-drilled mounting holes. Because these holes are finished with the machine, they may have some coating buildup, so we carefully start the Allen screws before tightening them fully. We use the long side of the Allen wrench for speed, then reverse it for additional torque to finish securing the light.

Before turning the light on, we make sure to remove the plastic wrapping from the light and the foam from inside the housing. This is an important safety step, since the light becomes very warm and leftover packing material could melt, damage the fixture, or create a fire hazard. Once these materials are removed and the light is secured, it is ready to use.
