In this video, we explain how the float button is used to move the design forward or backward without actually sewing. This function allows us to reposition within the design without stitching as we navigate to a specific area.
We primarily use the float function as a repair tool. For example, if a thread break happens during sewing and we fix the break without backing up first, we may be left with missed stitches in that section of the design.
We can then use the float function to return to that particular section, sew over the missed area to repair it, and continue sewing the rest of the design.
For repair work like floating back to a missed area, stable fabric support matters, so consider the right embroidery stabilizer.
