How to Oil and Grease Your Tajima Embroidery Machine

In this video, we review the recommended cleaning, oiling, and greasing points for a Tajima embroidery machine. Once every week, we should use a soft cloth to clean the case linear section of the machine. The ATH section of the machine should be cleaned daily using compressed air. The slots on both the X and Y axis rails should be cleaned once every two weeks using compressed air, and both sides of the frame holder must also be cleaned.

We then cover the regular oiling points. The rail section of the rotary hook should be oiled every three to four hours of operation using the special tip provided for the oil can. We also oil the rotary hook oil tank by inserting the tip into the red hole. Weekly, the needle bars, the needle bar drive shaft inside the arm, the left and right sides, and the felt packing should be oiled.

Additional oiling is required inside the cylinder bed. The front of the inside of the cylinder bed should be oiled once every three months. The inside of the cylinder bed at the rear should be oiled once every two to three weeks. For greasing, we remove the cover on the back table to access the gears, apply grease to the bevel gears once every three months, and then replace the cover.

Finally, we grease the color change system by applying grease to the color change roller bearings once every three months. We also apply grease into the take-up lever boss on a few take-up levers to grease the take-up lever drive roller, again once every three months. The number one straight pin should also be greased every three months. To reach that grease point, the plastic cap must be removed. We are reminded to use mineral oil-based lithium grease.

Keep your machine running smoothly with the right machine oil and grease supplies.
