Some use a large shop vac. Regular upright vacuum bar gets all chewed up from the threads or just use one of those little small hand broom/dustpan sets...you can just brush around in circles on the carpet and it all rolls up in a ball... just pick it up and throw it away.

Don't laugh.....a toilet bowl brush!
