How much bobbin should be showing on the back of the fabric?
There should be a ratio of approximately 2/3rds top thread to 1/3rd bobbin thread. This a general guideline, not an absolute law. The most important guide is the top side of the fabric. If it looks good, the tension most likely is fine.
