Another embroidery machine company that has come out
with a direct-to-garment digital printer is SWF, which
debuted its DTG Digital Kiosk direct-to-garment digital
printer 2 years ago. It can decorate 100%
cotton or cotton/poly blends in minutes with prints that
are washfast, vibrant, and can produce an image
measuring 11.5" by 16" for less than 33 cents, according
to a company press release.
Shirts are
imaged using piezo inkjet heads combined with the
company's proprietary DTG-TEX water-based textile inks.
Freshly printed shirts must be cured in a heat seal
press or conveyor dryer, and the finished print is
similar in washability and durability to a screen
printed
shirt.

The future of printing
directly on t-shirts and other imprintables is here with
the DTG garment inkjet printer. Now you can print on
almost any light colored textile and many other rigid
surfaces - signs, canvas and acrylics - in a matter of
minutes using the DTG Digital Garment Inkjet Printer.
See what all the buzz is about - why the promotional
product and apparel decorating industries can't stop
talking about this new generation of textile printing.
Message boards, blogs, trade shows, everywhere that
apparel decorators gather the talk is about inkjet
garment printers, and here's why: less mess, less set-up
time, and less associated costs than traditional screen
printing. Imagine the profit potential when you no
longer need to turn away customers wanting only one or
two items printed. Just load the garment onto the
special tray and print directly from your favorite
graphics program. It just doesn't get any easier or
faster.
